python-debian software package provides Python modules to work with Debian-related data formats, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-debian
python-debian is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-debian package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-debian *
You will get with python-debian package name, version, architecture and description in a table
